Computational investigation of honeybee venom proteins as potential Omicron SARS-CoV-2 inhibitors

Because of the catastrophic consequences COVID-19 on world population, there should be novel­ interventions to handle ongoing infections and daily death cases. The aim current study is examine effectiveness HBV (Honeybee venom) proteins spike protein RBD by in silico tools. sequences 5 were used for homology modeling Phyre 2. generated models employed protein-protein docking against Omicron Spike glycoprotein receptor binding domain (RBD) (PDB ID# 7T9L) through HDock ClusPro platforms followed prediction affinity using PRODIGY web portal PDBsum revealing interaction details. It was found that all examined exhibi­ted strong scores profiles toward RBD. findings present indicate possible as preventive well treatment options SARS-CoV-2.
